My religion is one of the most important parts of who I am. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I have a strong testimony of this Gospel.
I know that the Saviour truly died for my sins, but also suffered all of the pains and afflictions that I will ever feel in my life. This has brought me great comfort as I have gone through trials in my life.
I believe very strongly in The Book of Mormon and the teachings it holds. I believe that it is another Testament of Jesus Christ, and that with both The Book of Mormon and The Bible, we can receive great knowledge that will help us to return to our Heavenly Father one day.
I had a great love for our prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. He was an inspiration. I know that he was called of God to be our leader on Earth today. I know that he received revelation from Heavenly Father. I will certainly miss hearing his wonderful voice, but I look forward to hearing the messages that President Russel M. Nelson has to share with us. I know that the other leaders of the church have been called through revelation.
I know that revelation is something that we can each receive in our lives. I have received it many times, and I am grateful for it. We receive revelation as we pray, read our scriptures and strive to live righteously.
Prayer is a wonderful gift that has been given to us, that allows us to communicate with our Heavenly Father. I find that I often feel the most at peace when I am in silent prayer. It can truly bring comfort into our lives.
I know that the Priesthood is on the Earth, as God's power given to man to use righteously. I am grateful for the many blessings that this brings. I have been healed through the Priesthood power, both physically and emotionally. I know that it is God's power, and that He has given it to us because of His great love for us.
Finally, I know that the Temple is the House of God, where we can be sealed to our families forever. I am so grateful to know that I can be with my husband and my children for eternity, and that Heavenly Father has not simply given us families while we are on Earth. I cannot understand how a loving Heavenly Father could separate families, but I can love and appreciate why He has given us eternal families. This is one of the greatest blessings of the Gospel, and I am extremely grateful for it.
